Are you or someone you know age 15 or older interested in becoming a Umpire?
GPBBI will be holding umpire training classes at the Tony Shotwell Life Center.
The training will consist of 4 classroom sessions, you must attend all sessions, as well as a test date and field training sessions date and times TBD.
Classroom session dates:
Tuesday Sept 1st, Thursday Sept 3rd, Tuesday
Sept 8th and Thursday Sept 10th
from 6:30 to 8:00 pm
Our umpires are paid as independent contractors and receive $45 or $35 per game called, rate is dependent on age of game umpired.
If you are an adult you must be able pass a background check.

Required Umpire Gear List:
Uniform: Grey Slacks, Navy Blue Jersey, Powder Blue Jersey, Solid Blue or Black Hat, Ball Bag, Black Shoes, (2) Ball Strike Indicators, Plate Brush ( for all ages )
Gear: Mask, Solid Blue or Black Hat (that allows you to remove your mask without removing your hat), Chest Protector, Shin Guards, Athletic Cup. ( for 9u and above kid pitch )
